2. Main Product of Plunder : Mineral Sands


3. Mineral Sands contain Zircon and Titanium Dioxide


4. Zircon : Mostly for tiles manufactured in China to be placed in Russia, Brasil, India


5. Titanium Dioxide : Whitener for Toothpaste, Food Additive, Factor in Crohn's intestinal disease (irritable bowel syndrome), mined for "whiter is better" no-mind mentality.

Wrapup :

Overall we were impressed by the urgency of the situation to prevent mining scrapers, slicers and diggers from wrecking the Mallee, which has inherent long term growth and will NEVER bounce back as mining companies claim.

The damage proposed by mining companies will never be successfully remediated no matter what mining companies say or do. A common realistic view we have come across from the agricultural sector from their own horrible experience of mining is:

1. Once mining companies have scraped away the surface of the land and totally disrupted, suffocated and smothered the biota (biological organisms) living throughout soil in specialised regions, the land becomes virtually useless for adequate agricultural purposes.


2. The biota have been so thoroughly annihilated that they will never come back to populate the soil in the same numbers for hundreds or thousands of years.


3. In the case of the mallee, many plants such as the mulga bush trees and scrub are very long-lived. When mining companies drag huge monster chains over the landscape, to kill the mulga and the mallee and prepare the surface for mining stabbing, surgery and plunder of ore, then Mulga Citizens will not reseed or regrow to their former healthy prominent state or level for many decades or hundreds of years.


4. And along with destruction of the Mulgas comes genocide of many plants, insects, reptiles and other well-adapted Mallee Citizens who never voted or wanted mining companies to destroy THEIR homes and environment.
